Today's Challenge
Identify one doorway that keeps pulling you toward an old chain. Close it today. Delete it, block it, walk away from it, or confess it. Then read 1 Peter 2:24 and choose one practical act of obedience.
Devotional Summary
Jesus did not open the cell so we could keep living like prisoners. First Peter 2:24 teaches that Christ bore our sins so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. Galatians 3:13 reminds us that Christ redeemed us from the curse, and Romans 8:1 declares there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Grace is not permission to go back; grace is power to walk forward. The cell may be familiar, but familiar does not mean freedom. Leave the chains, close the doorways that pull you backward, repent when you fall, keep following Jesus, and live like someone Christ has truly set free. Don't go back to the cell. Live unashamed.
